Longcase Clock circa 1690
This longcase clock had apparently been stored in a barn for some time - with obvious results! The case was veneered in olive wood, oysters and cross banded in straight grain olive wood. The marquetry panels of various woods - box, padauk, satin etc were set in an ebony background. Full restoration included making missing barley twists for the rear of the hood and full overhaul of the movement.
