Egyptian Style Mahogany Clock Case circa 1810
The substrate of this clock case had become very badly eaten with woodworm. Restoration required: removing all veneers, making a new carcass and applying the original veneers and carved sections, polishing all to a good Georgian colour and sheen.(see Cescinsky & Webster: English Domestic Clocks fig. 372)
